Latrines and septic tanks

Enzymate for latrines and septic tanks

Enzymate will break down accumulations of fats, oils and grease in latrines keeping the system free flowing.
At the same time Enzymate will eliminate the associated unpleasant odours.

How does it work?

Enzymate is a unique blend. It contains fermented natural products, multi nutrients and biodegradable surfactants which is specifically formulated to rapidly and safely eliminate organic waste material.

Enzymate breaks down the complex waste molecules into progressively smaller less complex elements which in turn act as a food source for the existing bacteria present in the system. The bacteria then multiply and accelerate the digestion of the waste material.

The surfactant present in Enzymate helps to reduce the fatty particle size and breaks apart surface accumulation of oily materials. The surfactant itself also becomes a food source.

It doesn’t happen overnight…..

A biological process takes time. Enzymate is not an instant answer, but it is a lasting answer.

What makes Enzymate so different from the other bio products?

Enzymate is the total package. The efficiency of Enzymate is determined by it's unique blend of

• selected enzymes,
• essential multi nutrients
• biodegradable surfactants
• all in liquid form

These combine together to provide an instant stimulant and a readily available food source for the digestion of organic waste.

Unlike other bio additive products on the market we do not

• add bacteria
• exclude enzymes
• exclude surfactants
• exclude nutrients
• have a powder or granular base

The benefits

  • Enzymate breaks down sludge accumulation – it targets and digests the organisms that cause sludge build up and prevents their return
  • combines immediate control with long term destruction
  • prevents the septic tank from becoming clogged
  • keeps the system and pipes free flowing
  • extends the durability of the septic tank and soak away
  • reduce the frequency and costs of septic tank pump outs
  • will also control and eliminate organic odours
  • it is a natural solution harmless to humans and animals
  • environmentally friendly, non-toxic and safe to use
  • economical and easy to apply
  • good for the environment

Where can it be used

For all plumbing installations that are on a septic tank drainage system, for example:

• domestic homes
• rural properties
• hotels and restaurants
• national parks
• sports clubs
• holiday camps

Also recommended for mobile homes, caravans, boats, pit latrines,
composting toilets and portable camping toilets

Recommended dosage

Recommended dosage rates are subject to several factors including the waste water system design, water flow rate, size of septic tank, the presence of any anti microbial products and client treatment objectives.

  • An initial ‘shock dose’ is required to kick start the system followed by regular weekly dose whilst the problem persists. In bad cases it is recommended that a daily dose be applied for a period of 7 – 10 days. Adjust the dosage according to the situation and results.
  • Apply product in the evening when activity is relatively quiet and this will allow the product to work in the system overnight.
  • Add the recommended dosage of Enzymate to a standard bucket of water (add Enzymate to water and stir gently – if you add water to Enzymate there will be some foaming)
  • Pour majority of the dose into the toilet at the furthest point from the septic tank. This will allow the product to work through the pipe network. Flush the toilet. Can also apply dosage to other toilets, sinks, bath and shower. Run tap for a short time to wash away Enzymate. This gets the product into all the pipe networks.
  • The process is not instant, but the grease and fats will start to dissolve with noticeable results.

Compatibility

Enzymate works by stimulating the activity of micro-organisms naturally present in the organic waste.
However, the efficiency of Enzymate will be restricted by the presence of

• abnormally low acidic conditions or
• abnormally high alkaline conditions
• the presence of biocides
• very low or very high temperatures
• high concentrations of salts
• harsh chemicals.
